As part of a comprehensive restoration project, the roof structure was seismically strengthened and secured to the 4-foot adobe walls, the walls were waterproofed, a new perimeter drainage system was designed and installed, and the gardens were historically replanted and cleaned. Following painstaking research, an original entry was located and restored. The entire chapel and grounds were made accessible, and new interior lighting, utilizing integrated fiber optics with adjustable brightness, and designed in keeping with historic Mission chandeliers.
